The 10 to Teens session focuses on all athletic disciplines; running, throwing and jumping with the aim of advancing skill development of the run, throw and jump techniques. A focus remains on agility, balance and co-ordination, essential to support the development of young athletes. As always sessions are devised to be fun, helping to keep young people engaged with this physical activity offer. Appropriate warm-up activities and stretching are incorporated into sessions in order to teach young athletes the principles of safe exercise.
Sessions are £2 per week, payable at week 1 for the whole term. We allow children trying their first 3 sessions to pay per week initially. After 3 sessions a junior membership is required and the cost for this is £11 per year. The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. Children joining Jan-March do not need renew in April.
Tuesdays 6pm - 7pm at Wyke College, Bricknell Avenue, Hull.
During the winter the sessions take place in the Sports Hall, and from Spring sessions are outside on the field weather permitting.
Fitmums & Friends Juniors (FMJ’s) is an athletics session which focuses on all athletic disciplines; running, throwing and jumping. Sessions aim to introduce children to the basic principles of run, throw and jump techniques. These are taught in progressive steps with an emphasis at all times on “fun” as well as the development of agility, balance and co-ordination. Appropriate warm-up activities and stretching are incorporated into sessions in order to teach children from a young age the principles of safe exercise.
Wyke FMJs is a term-time only session. Places must be booked in advance by contacting denise@fitmums.org.uk .

Each junior session has a Welfare Officer and we also have overarching Welfare Leads for the charity as a whole and they can be contacted welfare@fitmums.org.uk
A welfare policy exists to support the wellbeing of all members including young people. In addition a code of conduct policy sets out behaviour expectations of members, parents, coaches and it is essential that children and parents/guardians read these code of conducts. These can be viewed HERE
