Humberside Fire and Rescue, Peaks Lane Fire station, provide a "safe haven" facility for all Fitmums & Friends members.

If any member gets into difficulty whilst out on a run near Peaks Lane, they may visit the fire station and know they will be welcomed and supported.

All staff at the fire station are aware of the “safe haven” service which offers:  

• Place of safety (for whatever reason)
• Shelter from severely inclement weather
• Access to a toilet
• A milestone marker/catch up point
• Access to a telephone for emergencies
• Access to water to top up water bottles
