Fitness raises funds

Posted 11th December 2019

Our lovely Goole Fitmums and Friends members have been raising money for a charity that is close to the heart of two of our members.

Very sadly in March this year (2019), Goole member Sallie lost her loving husband Doug, who was also a wonderful Dad to Natalie. Throughout this difficult time, both Sallie and Natalie have shown strength and courage by continuing to come along to Goole Fitmums and Friends on a Monday night, where they have received friendship and support from our team and members.

In September the leaders thought that it would be a lovely idea for members to make a voluntary donation of £1 when they came along to a strength and conditioning session or to one of the clubs social runs.

This raised £75 for the The Brain Tumour charity and with gift aid this makes a wonderful £93.75.

Thank you to everyone for making this happen!

If, like Sallie & Natalie, you have been bereaved, but you also think being active in a supportive group may just help you - then please know we would be happy to help.  If you feel it would be hard to walk through the door of a session on your own, you only need to let us know as we have systems to make this easier.   Please just email admin@fitmums.org.uk or goole@fitmums.org.uk if you think we can help you or someone you know.
