One Hour Club Challenge 2026

The Fitmums and Friends 1-Hour Club Challenge will return on Saturday 4th July 2026. It’s a great opportunity for members, family and friends from all our clubs to run, walk, nordic walk and enjoy a fun time together.
This year the event takes place again on the lovely track at Costello Stadium - a beautiful venue to enjoy some healthy fun inter-club competition!
Entry costs: £5 per adult / £3 per child (under 15 years)
Please note this years entry fee does not include food. Once again we have the Cafe Franco mobile vendors attending the event serving barista style coffee, teas and hot drinks as well as pastries and hot snacks. As this year's event takes place in Summer we have an ice cream van coming along to cool everyone down after their run! The Wondrous Whippy team will be providing a range of ice cream delights for you to choose from.
The Fitmums & Friends 1-Hour Club Challenge encourages each club to gather members, friends and family together to complete as many 400m laps as they can in just one hour.
You can do as many or as few laps as you like, running or walking. Every lap will be recorded and added to your club’s total over the course of the hour. Friends and family who join in can choose which club they 'donate' their lap(s) to.
There will also be a shorter version for children (10 years and under) so that they can also contribute to the grand total for Clubs. This will be a 30 minute challenge and only laps completed by children can be recorded for this part of the event.
Afterwards, there will be prizes for the winning clubs and the much coveted wooden spoon for the last placed Club.

Timings:
11.30am - 12.15pm Number collection (Children's numbers to be collected in time for their start at 11.45am)
11.45am - 12.15pm Fun Run
12.30pm - 1.30pm 1-Hour Club Challenge
1.30pm - 2.30pm Presentation of Prizes & Social

Just like last year, there will be prizes for the clubs which complete the most laps (calculated as an average per person taking part) and for best club attendance (calculated as a percentage of membership). Will you help your club to a win…?
Each club is encouraged to set up its own little camp and this year we have the stands of Costello Stadium to gather in. But you could also bring a gazebo, blankets, chairs too! The inter-club banter is fun and friendly! And after chalking up some laps for your club, enjoy a cuppa and cake and chance to socialise!

Entries will only be available on the day if we have not exceeded the entry limit. So please enter in advance if you can and please check before travelling if you are interested in on-the-day entry.
