We have a vacancy in the central team to help organise Fitmums and Friends volunteer attendance at "events”. The role involves recruiting then preparing volunteers to help at events such as:
• Maintaining a “Volunteer” register which includes liaising with volunteers about upcoming opportunities.
• Induction of all new volunteers to the register.
• Managing the “rewards scheme” available to volunteers.
• Liasing with Event Organisers.
• Liaising with the central team about upcoming events and the need for promotion where required.
• Ensuring the appropriate promotional materials are provided to volunteers and returned to base afterwards.
We are looking for someone who would love to join the central team of Fitmums and Friends to help with this important volunteer role. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Our main office days are Mondays and Thursdays which allows contact time with Sam/Vickie, and the chance to pick up equipment - but it is also fine to work remotely, providing good communication systems can be established. The busiest times for this role tend to be Spring through to Autumn - all depends on what events come up.
The role can involve the organisation of volunteers across the whole Fitmums and Friends footprint - so could involve organisation of teams to have a presence at events in North, South Yorkshire and on the south bank of the Humber too.
