Wanted - volunteer admin support to central team

We are looking for a volunteer to join our hardworking central team to provide much needed administrative support.   

Fitmums & Friends has been operational since 2009 becoming a registered charity with a board of Trustees in 2017. It has over 1000 members; 11 clubs across the Humber, North & South Yorkshire with around 200 volunteers delivering sessions. In addition the organisation has many other strands including a coaching development structure; mental health champions; guide runners; intensive support scheme; an inter-generational choir; junior athletics sessions; buggy sessions and a large volunteer workforce. The central team work to support all of the operations across the whole network and it is thus a busy environment.

The central team consists of:

Data/new enquiries lead - Hana Cooper

365 Challenge Lead – Gaye Hanson

Club Liaison Leads: Gaye Hanson ; Lisa Adcock ; Luke Primmer ; Gemma Wolfe ; Caroline Scanlan

The role involves:

• Managing the team diary

• Arranging meetings and training sessions

• Booking venues & ordering refreshments

• Creating Eventbrite registrations

• Liaising with Club Co-ordinators/Leaders/Coaches/Club Liaison Leads via facebook groups/email

• Responding to enquiries via email/phone/facebook

• Taking minutes

• Typing reports

• Collating surveys

• Distribution of kit/medals

Qualities

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work of this charity and wants to get more involved. We need someone who is competent in the use of Microsoft word; google docs; spreadsheets, emails, facebook – or is willing to learn. A team player is essential.

Base

The central team work from an office on Greenwood Avenue, Hull, HU6 9NX. On street parking available. It is a busy central hub – with lots of laughter as well as productivity!

Hours

We are ideally looking for someone who can be office based with us on Monday and/or Thursdays and we anticipate needing 4-6 hours of support (term-time only).

Although this is an unpaid volunteer role we look after our volunteers with free tea/coffee at work, office t-shirt provided; travel expenses and usually there is cake (of course!).
