Virtual Sessions - Spring Timetable

Posted 16th March 2021

Here are up-to-date details of our virtual activity sessions. Until the end of April, we are offering one session a week of Pilates and yoga.

The virtual sessions are included in your Fitmums & Friends membership, and are led by our trained and qualified coaches and instructors. Each session combines the workout and a chance to connect with other members, all in the comfort of your home.

The sessions on offer are:

Monday 6.30pm: pilates with Coach Claire

Sunday 4.30pm: yoga with Emma

Find out more about the benefits of these sessions and how they can support your running, walking and cycling here.

Tech

The sessions are delivered live via Zoom, and streamed to Facebook Live (in our private group) either during the session or soon after, then later uploaded to YouTube as an unlisted item (private video, only viewable by link). This means you can replay the sessions at a time to suit you if you cannot join them live.

To access the sessions, you need to join our private “Virtual Sessions” Facebook group. Every Sunday, we post the Zoom links and passwords required to access each session in this group. If you are not a Facebook user, please email Vickie on admin@fitmums.org.uk to ask to receive the weekly list by email.

If you need guidance on how to use Zoom, please read our step-by-step guide.

If you don’t like the idea of appearing on screen, you can choose to disable the video feature. You will still be able to see and hear the coach, but only your name will appear on the screen instead of your picture.

Caution

As ever, please work at your own level during the virtual sessions – the coaches will give different options to work at, so please pick what is right for you. Unlike face-to-face sessions, coaches cannot check personal health status. We therefore recommend that these sessions are suitable for people in good physical condition who feel able to participate in the sessions. We strongly recommend that you consult with a health professional before beginning any exercise programme if this is a new activity.

Stay healthy!
