We are pleased to confirm that our virtual activity sessions will continue until at least Sunday 2 August.
We will continue to offer current Fitmums & Friends members fitness sessions, pilates, yoga, and a session especially for our junior athletes. The sessions are led by trained and qualified coaches and instructors and are delivered via Zoom and Facebook Live. These can be done in the comfort of your home – with your family too. Each session combines the workout and a chance to connect with other members. The sessions on offer are:
Monday 10.30am: pilates with Coach Claire (via Zoom)
Monday 7pm: fitness with Coach Neil (via Facebook Live)
Tuesday 8am: yoga with Emma (via Facebook Live)
Tuesday 12.15pm: fitness with Coach Neil (via Zoom)
Wednesday 6.30pm: pilates with Coach Claire (via Zoom)
Thursday 6.30pm: NEW virtual run/walk session with Coach Neil – aimed at supporting people to get back to fitness to rejoin the 1 or 2 mile group when clubs restart in person (via Zoom)
Thursday 8.30am: pilates with Coach Claire (via Facebook Live)
Friday 11am: yoga with Emma (via Zoom)
Saturday 10am: Juniors session with Coach Neil (open to junior members and children of members, via Zoom)
Sunday 4.30pm: yoga with Emma (via Zoom)

The access links and passwords required to access the Zoom sessions change each week. It is therefore necessary to either join our closed “Virtual Sessions” Facebook group here to see the links posted up weekly; or please email email@example.com to ask to receive the weekly list by email. Please note that if you don’t like the idea of appearing on screen, you can choose to disable the video feature. You will still be able to see and hear the coach, but only your name will appear on the screen instead of your picture. To access the Facebook Live sessions, you need to join our “Virtual Sessions” Facebook group here which is where these 30-minute sessions take place. These sessions are scheduled to help people access them live around possible working hours; if this is not possible, you can replay them at any time afterwards to suit you.
If you struggle to access Zoom or Facebook Live we can share recorded sessions with you – so please email and let us know you would like access this way.
If you are not a current Fitmums & Friends member and would like to access these sessions, then our virtual membership is perfect for you. A one-off payment of £21 will give you access to all our virtual activity sessions until Sunday 2 August. Top-up to full membership will be available for anyone local to a Fitmums & Friends club who wants to attend sessions once things return to normal.
To join as a virtual member, please register on our website. Visit https://fitmums.org.uk/register and fill in your details. For “Membership type”, choose “Senior (second club)” and you will see the cost appear as £21 per year. For “Primary club name”, please enter “virtual sessions”.

As ever, please work at your own level during the virtual sessions – the coaches will give different options to work at, so please pick what is right for you. Unlike face-to-face sessions, coaches cannot check personal health status. We therefore recommend that these sessions are suitable for people in good physical condition who feel able to participate in the sessions. We strongly recommend that you consult with a health professional before beginning any exercise programme if this is a new activity.
