The Headscarf Hustle is a fun and friendly 4-mile run/walk across the Humber Bridge. After the success of the first event last year, it will be back in 2025! And it will have more places so more people can enjoy taking part!
The Headscarf Hustle is open to everyone – adults and children. And all abilities – you are welcome to run, walk or wheel the four miles. Take part solo or bring your family or friends/colleagues. (But, sorry, no dogs.) We do recommend that any child 'running' the event follows the UK Athletics guidance about age-suitable distances. Younger children in buggies are welcome too (no bikes/scooters, please).
Note that the event will not be timed, but if you would like to record your time, you certainly can.
As well as being a great opportunity to get active, the event will also be a fundraiser. A portion of your £8 entry fee will be donated to Headscarf Pride’s campaign for a statue in memory of Hull's Headscarf Revolutionaries – the four local women who campaigned to improve safety at sea after the Triple Trawler Disaster of 1968 and saved countless lives as a result.
At the 4-mile Headscarf Hustle, walk or run a mile in honour of each of these four inspirational women! And on the day after International Women’s Day, it is the perfect time to celebrate the Headscarf Revolutionaries and every woman who makes a difference in your life.
Sign up for the Headscarf Hustle here. Entries will open at midday on Sunday 5 January – until then you can join the wait list.
