Fundraising

Fundraising for Fitmums and Friends directly strengthens a charity that changes lives every single day.

The Charity provides inclusive, supportive activity programmes that help people improve their physical and mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build confidence—regardless of age, ability or circumstance. Every pound raised enables more people to access safe, friendly sessions; supports specialist programmes for those facing bereavement, anxiety or additional needs; and helps train the volunteers who make the charity’s warm, welcoming environment possible. Fundraising isn’t just about keeping sessions running—it’s about expanding opportunities, removing financial barriers, and ensuring that anyone who needs support can find it. When people choose to fundraise for Fitmums and Friends, they’re investing in stronger communities, healthier lives, and a charity built on kindness where nobody is ever left behind.

How can I fundraise?

We offer opportunities throughout the year for organised fundraising, such as Great North Run Charity places and London Marathon Charity places. We also link with other organisations such as Dove House Hospice to offer places at local fundraising events - Pub to Pub walk or Night Walk.

We welcome other types of fundraising too - in the past people have completed their own challenges to support the work of Fitmums and Friends, events such as White Collar Boxing, running events and sponsored walks.

If you have a fundraisng idea we would love to talk to you about it.

What can Fitmums and Friends do to support my fundraising?

We can:

  • provide links to online fundraising platforms for easy donations

  • provide paper sponsorship forms

I would like to donate, how can I do that?
