Mumbot Milestones Challenge

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we decided to postpone the launch of this incentive as exercise was restricted. We have decided it is now safe to launch as exercise is no longer limited. You are able to backdate any activity completed during the initial two months (from 1st April to 31st May); just update it in your own account as detailed below.

Mumbot Milestones 2020/21

Mumbot Milestones is a brand new initiative for Fitmums and Friends members that we hope will encourage and inspire you to challenge yourself in 2020/21.

The challenge runs from 1st April in tandem with the Fitmums membership year, i.e. 1st April 2020 - 31st March 2021. 

Within this 12 month period you can challenge yourself to run, walk and/or cycle 250, 500, 750 or 1000 miles.  

The reward for your hard work is one of the stunning new Fitmums and Friends pin badges which offer a fabulous way to mark your achievement – earn bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Sneak peek of the silver badge image below...

You 'collect' your miles using the Mumbot app - any activity completed during an organised Fitmums and Friends sessions that includes a distance (running, walking, cycling) will automatically be captured and you can also add miles that you have clocked up independently.  

You can view your total activity for the year via the 'My Activity' tab on your online Fitmums and Friends account.  

Once you’ve reached a Mumbot Milestone you will automatically receive an email telling you that you are entitled to release the relevant Mumbot Milestone reward. Each pin badge costs £4.00 and you can collect as many as you are eligible for in each membership year. The challenge will re-set on 1st April each year.

FAQs

Question: Can I prove my mileage using another source like Strava?

Answer: No – only activity recorded in Mumbot will count towards the challenge. If you need some help adding your own independent miles into the system, please speak to your Club Coordinator or contact us directly.

Question: Can I add activity from previous months?

Answer: You can add activity from the last 28 days. If you have activity that has not been added since the beginning of the membership year (April 1st) you can add it as a total and use a date within the 28 day period.

Question: Where do I see my total activity for the year? 

Answer: Log into your personal Fitmums and Friends account and choose the ‘My Activity’ section and then ‘Manage Activity’. This will show you your total activity for each membership year and your total overall activity, including all independent activity that you have added.  If you are using a mobile phone it may only show the last 5 activities but the total number is visible.

Question: Why can't I see all my activity on my phone?

Answer: A mobile phone displays the last 5 activities, further activity can be viewed by logging into your account on a PC or laptop.

Question: How do I add my activity?

Answer: There is a guide on how to add additional activity (that outside of Fitmums and Friends session) here.

Question: Is it a combined activity total for running, walking and cycling or separate totals for each activity?

Answer: It is a combined total. Mumbot will automatically accumulate your mileage for running, walking and cycling. You will receive notification when you have achieved any of the milestones.

Question:  Do my totals add up as I achieve them?

Answer: Yes. You continue to build on each milestone distance to achieve the next goal. Therefore once you get to 250 miles, you need to accumulate another 250 miles to reach 500, then another 250 miles to reach 750 miles, etc.

Question: Activity at my local club doesn't always register on Mumbot.

Answer: Please speak to your Club Coordinator or contact admin@fitmums.org.uk about this so we can resolve this for you.
