We are planning an inter-club event to cheer up the winter months: Fitmums & Friends Indoor Tournament Multisport Magic at Sirius (!). Otherwise known as an indoor Sportshall event at Sirius Academy West in Hull on Saturday 12 March.
Sportshall is an indoor athletics event with an emphasis firmly on fun, enjoyment and “giving one’s best for the good of the team”. Normally a competition for children, we have adapted the model to create an adult event designed as an inter-club competition.
The idea is to give us a chance to get together and enjoy some fun activity – with a slight hint of competition because we know you love it!

What?
Fitmums & Friends club teams will come together to take part in an inter-club indoor athletics event. Each team will complete ten familiar Sportshall activities which are designed to test your skills and fitness:
- balance test
- standing long jump
- vertical jump
- speed bounce
- target throw
- overhead heave
- chest push
- foam javelin
- hi-stepper
- shuttle runs
Not everyone needs to do all events – so don’t worry if anything looks too tricky. The idea is to just come and have a go; and coaching will be provided wherever needed. Everyone takes part at the same time, with all activities happening at once – so you will not be performing in front of a crowd!

Enjoy a fun afternoon of being active with your Fitmums & Friends clubmates.
There will be prizes! For individuals and clubs:
- Best attendance by a local club (percentage of total membership)
- Best male and female per age category: under 30, 30-49, over 50
- Club Wooden Spoon Award
- Best Club Spirit Award
But most of all, it will be a lot of fun! (And there will be cake!)
Who?
The event is open to Fitmums & Friends members and non-members, aged 16+. (Non-members will choose a local club to represent.)

Saturday 12 March, 1pm – 3pm
