"I lost my husband in September 2020. I just wanted to tell you how Fitmums & Friends' Together in Grief has helped me.

It has been such a help to me. I honestly don't know where I would be if I hadn't found you all. Going to the yoga sessions and the walks is so helpful to me. I have met so many lovely people and made some amazing friends.

There are no barriers about talking about your grief; everyone is at different stage of grief but what makes me feel safe is that I can say exactly how I feel, good or not good, everyone understands and they don't judge me. They support me.

I had a terrible time during lockdown after I lost my husband, I didn't want to get out of bed in a morning. I was also having problems with what I was doing to myself, I didn't care what happened, I had lost the love of my life so what was the point of being kind or looking after myself. It now scares me to think what could have happened to me, I know completely that my husband would not want me to be in the state I was in.

I am much more able to cope with life now, and that is thanks to Fitmums & Friends. I feel I have come so far thanks to these ladies.

I now volunteer for Fitmums & Friends; who would have thought I could get to this stage a year ago?

Thank you!"
