Would you like an outdoor volunteer role supporting others?

Four Nordic Walking instructors and leaders on Beverley Westwood

Do you have any spare time? Would you like to keep fit and make friends?

Would you like to combine being active with supporting others whilst being part of an amazing volunteer team? If you like the sound of any of this, consider joining the team at Nordic Walking with Fitmums & Friends.

Nordic Walking is a walking technique that uses poles (similar to ski poles) to work the upper body as well as the legs, giving a great, full-body workout. It offers fabulous health benefits and burns more calories than ordinary walking.

Fitmums & Friends hosts a Nordic Walking session each Monday 1.30pm from Beverley Golf Club. The session is so popular that we are in need of more volunteers to help support the growing interest. We are particularly looking for people who might like to train as a Nordic Walking Instructor or Leader. You can see more details about that here.

This would not need to be a weekly commitment - choose what level of input you can give. Funds are available to support training costs.

Please have a chat with us if you think you may be interested in getting involved. Remember volunteering in itself has health benefits - so what do you have to lose?
