Volunteers needed – Mental Health Champions

Posted 26th January 2022

We are looking for Mental Health Champions at our Market Weighton, Dearne Valley and York clubs.

Mental Health Champions are members who volunteer to support the mental wellbeing of fellow club members during the club’s physical activity sessions.

We know that the last two years have been very challenging and want to support our members in as many different ways as possible. So we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to support fellow members by listening in the first instance and sign-posting to support agencies if required. No experience is required and full training will be given.

We offer a fully supportive structure, with the role of the Mental Health Champion placed within the Welfare Support Team. Support, help and guidance are always available.

More than one club member interested in the role? No problem. Inclusivity is the key at Fitmums & Friends and there is no limit on the number of Mental Health Champions at each club.

Find out more about the Mental Health Champion role here.

Is this the role for you? Could you be a part of the next chapter in someone's Fitmums & Friends journey? If so, please email Andy at andy@fitmums.org.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you!
